Commanders Call
At our February meeting
we recognized our Public Service Officers of the year. Each
recipient received a certificate and an award of $500.

Sr
Detective Irene Culick, Fire Fighter Robert Watts, Corrections
Officer Lt. Andrea Glover and EMT Tech Kelli LeAnn Nash
We have 280 bricks for
our walk of Honor. Original plans had to be scaled back. We plan to
move the location to the side of the building where it will be seen
by all visitors to the post. A bronze sculptured plaque with the
seals of each branch of service will be incorporated into the
design. The bricks will be displayed on the right side of the
entrance portico. Memorial Day is the target date for Ground
breaking.
Our membership
stands at 637. More than 100 current members have not yet paid their
dues. We are only 75% of our goal for membership.
Our speaker for March
will be 3rd
Army Col Kevin Felix, Dep. Chief of Staff, US Army Central Command.
Commander,
Henry Holland

Congress has taken a
week off for the snow but, here is the problem, as of this writing,
congress has not tackled the med-i-care or tri-care problem. If they
do not pass a new law for the above, they will be cut by 21%. What
this means is that doctors will not want to do what is best for us
older folks and will not take any new patients.
